What Happens When We Prioritize The People Over Economics

The battle between Democrat and Republican, liberal and conservative, red v blue, are over. Long ago the American two party system merged into an imperialistic, global new world order, with a marxist agenda implementing never ending wars to enrich the military industrial complex. This is the power elite. They collude to allow illegal immigration for cheap labor and even cheaper votes, and outsource nearly all of our manufacturing to the extent that America is the first first-world nation to be de-industrialized. We've traded what made America great in pursuit of cheap products made by foreign slave labor.

And then came Donald Trump.

When Donald Trump appeared on the political landscape he sent shock waves through the American system, not because of his mean Tweets, but because he came to espouse simple, common sense solutions for the problems every-day Americans face in their every-day lives. This is populism and it terrifies the power elites.

Donald Trump said "we like the world" but as Americans we put the American economy, American business, American energy prices, and American food quality first. We put America first. This is nationalism.

National populism is simply a common sense way of thinking about solutions that puts the interests of the American Citizen above all else. National populism is not a new way of thinking but its reintroduction in the face of the new world order makes it seem as fresh and new as a big gasp of air for a people that have been suffocated for too long by the Big Business, Big Banker, Big Gov't power elites.

The following are some national populist ideas.

MILITARY / FOREIGN POLICY

Nationalists prioritize the Citizen of the Nation over foreign intervention. It's time America matures into its role as the worlds sole super power and openly enforce monopolistic control over space and the seas, abstaining as much as possible from intervening in other sovereign nations affairs. As nationalists we believe that all nations have the right to self govern.

Monopolizing space and the seas will ensure American security, encourage world peace, and will ween America from its adolescent-like addiction to forever-wars.

INTERNATIONAL TRADE

National Populists prioritize the Citizen of the Nation over economics. American companies (companies owned, operated, and staffed by American Citizens) compete in the global market to capture market share and America should protect its borders and companies from cheap foreign products and services that undermine American producers, inventors, and businessmen. For example, we will place tariffs on products made with slave labor or stolen intellectual property.

The MIC (military industrial complex) will no longer profit by arming the world with our tech, which is often and eventually used against us.

SMALL BUSINESS: THE BACKBONE OF AMERICA

We are a Nation of inventors, explorers, creators, risk takers, and pioneers. Each Citizen has the right to be his own boss; to be the chieftain of an organization he has created to compete for resources in the marketplace.

Small business is the engine of discovery and the reward for innovative efficiency. Most Americans are employed by small businesses: the self employed professional, the contractor, manufacturer, family farms. We call these risk takers who support society the "Girder" class.

National Populists believe in capitalism because competition breeds excellence. For this reason, small business loans that drive productivity should be easier to get than student debt.

ORGANIZED LABOR: TRADE GUILDS OVER UNIONS

Nationalists prioritize the Citizen of the Nation over corporate interests.

National Populists favor National Trade Guilds over international labor unions. A National Trade Guild will serve the purpose of

a) educating and training its members to be the most capable, efficient, productive producer class the world has ever seen.

b) embrace and master the implementation of technology into the trades

c) protect its own trade secrets which will preserve and enhance its members financial compensation.

We will no longer call skilled tradesmen "labor" but honor the people who make things for a living by giving them the title of "Producer" to which they will enjoy membership to an esteemed producer class.

We believe international labor unions in the US can easily be re-imagined and transformed into National Trade Guilds simply by replacing leadership that no longer represent the will of its members with a better vision for the future of the American producer. In a thriving Nation inefficiency can not be rewarded by hourly compensation. Producers should be paid for productivity and paid handsomely for it.

RETIREMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

A functional retirement program makes way for the youth of America to take over the means of production and therefore the reins of the economy while rewarding older generations for their life-long contributions to society. One thing a national retirement program should not do is penalize the next generation of Citizens.

National Populists believe in taking care of its older generations while not overburdening future generations. The realities of increased life expectancy due to significant medical advances coupled with below replacement birth rates puts the current system of Social Security in a lopsided equation where every one young Producer is taxed to pay for three or more retirees for the bulk of their productive years. This is not sustainable.

National Populists have a plan to renew the current American retirement assistance program. We can immediately implement no tax on Social Security payments to current seniors giving them an immediate boost in benefits. We can institute incentives for retirees to earn more by mentoring, apprenticing, or teaching classes in schools.

We will continue to encourage Citizens to supplement their future retirement assistance with non-government, tax incentivized IRA or 401k programs while immediately redirecting tax income earmarked for redistribution through Social Security to real "insider" investments with real ROI's like government funded patents, IPO's with government sponsored innovations, toll roads and space programs.

For Americans age 39 and younger their retirement assistant program will change. Retirement assistance will be means tested for net worth. Anyone worth over, say, $10mm will no longer qualify for retirement assistance but could be given certain tax breaks on capital gains or withdrawals after a certain age.

People in the producer class have lower life expectancy and for Citizens who have physically worked hard their entire life we want producers to enjoy their latter years by assisting them in retirement from a lower age - say 62. Conversely, for the girder class, the age requirement for government retirement assistance will be raised to age 72.

These changes will preserve retirement assistance for Americans who need it and create a system of actual investment with younger generations tax dollars so America can reverse the Ponzi scheme we call Social Security and afford a smaller, more stable population while reversing our addiction to immigration, illegal or otherwise.

EDUCATION OVER INDOCTRINATION

National Populists believe educating its Citizens is the key to a successful future. Americans will have the best educated people in the world. We will do this by instituting a merit based, government paid for, private education system. There will be no government schools. Each student will receive a voucher (IGB - Individual Block Grant ) for each year of schooling they qualify for. Parents of students will be able to choose between private schools based on the value they can provide. A student will be able to go from pre-K to as high an education as they qualify for including trade school, college, and post grad. In this way schools will compete on quality and service to provide students the most useful education. Causing schools to be judged on their performance by giving the power of choice to parents creates an atmosphere for schools and educators to seek excellence through competition.

Vouchers, or IBG's for education, paired with IBG's for healthcare and retirement is called Baseline Economics. Baseline economics gives all Citizens an equal opportunity starting line.

HEALTHCARE: ENSURANCE OVER INSURANCE

America will abolish health insurance companies and get rid of the third party payer system. This will return purchasing power to the people. By eliminating the third party payer the American people can save billions in profits that medical insurance companies extract from the healthcare system. When "insurance" covers elective treatments - from contraceptives to weight loss procedures and everything in between - premiums are no longer calculated to protect against the risk of unforeseen conditions but have become a forced savings plan for the masses and a giant investment fund for the "insurance" company. Covering everything allows the insurance companies to justify ever increasing premiums, giving them more money to invest, not for the insured's benefit, but solely for their own. Insurance companies today are more like hedge funds than risk management resources.

As a Nation we can do better. America is a wealthy enough Nation to afford to ensure our Citizens have the best opportunity to be the healthiest people in the world. We can do this by issuing vouchers ($5k/$7k/$9k per year?) which we call Individual Block Grants (IBG's). This gives the individual Citizen the ability to bargain or bail in search of the best care and treatment for their money.

Vouchers, or IBG's for healthcare, paired with IBG's for education and retirement we call Baseline Economics. Baseline Economics will give all Citizens an equal starting line.
